Terms & Conditions

  1. The 2010 Tee Off Amateur Golf Challenge ('The Challenge') shall be under the management and control of the Challenge Committee, whose decision on all matters relating to the Challenge will be final.
  2. The Challenge will be a 72 hole handicapped stroke play event. Handicap adjustments, in accordance with Tee Off's handicapping systems will be made after each round (players will be advised of the Challenge's handicap adjustment system at the golf course). All golfers will be drawn by the committee to play in the 4 rounds. 
  3. A maximum handicap of 27 for men and 36 for women will be the limit for the Challenge.
  4. Competitors must have an official handicap (endorsed by the AGU, WGA or the International equivalent). Players must present at challenge registration a current handicap card signed after 30th June 2010 by an authorised club official. Print-outs from GolfLink and approved handicap web sites will also be accepted. The organisers of the Challenge can also arrange to get you a handicap.
  5. Trophies for the 72 hole event will be awarded to the first 10 place getters. The winner of the challenge will receive the Gold Bullion Trophy. 
  6. The value of the Tee Off Amateur Golf Challenge trophy and $20,000 prize pool is priced at achieving 120 fully paid Challenge players. The minimum number of entrants required by the Challenge is 100. In the event the Challenge does not achieve a capacity field the value of the total trophy and prize pool will be adjusted based on the reduced number of entrants.
  7. All events will be conducted in accordance with the rules of golf and such local rules as approved by the challenge committee.
  8. In the event that weather conditions prevent all players from finishing their round, the weather affected round will be cancelled and the Challenge reduced accordingly. 
  9. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit for the Challenge and holiday package is required immediately. The balance of all fees must be paid before 30th June 2010. The Challenge Committee reserves the right to refuse entry should capacity be exceeded. In the event the Challenge Committee refuses entry to the Challenge due to the tournament being full, the applicant will be refunded all monies paid to the organiser. The deposit covers administrative costs and non-refundable travel costs.
  10. The Challenge organisers may arrange media promotion and publicity before, during and after the Challenge. Competitors assent to pictures of them appearing and being used for purposes determined by the organisers.
  11. The Challenge committee may at its discretion amend or add any condition of the Challenge.
  12. To drive a motorised cart, competitors agree to possess a current driver's license and have previous experience driving a golf cart equal to a minimum of four rounds. In the event of an accident, the driver is responsible for the costs to repair the cart and any property damaged as well as being liable for any personal injury claims.
  13. The travel component of the Challenge must be booked through GOLF BANK TRAVEL PTY LTD a licensed trave agent, trading as Golf & Leisure Travel.  All money received will be banked into our "Client Travel Account" in accordance with the requirements of the Travel Agents Act - 1988, and the Travel Compensation Fund.  Golf & Leisure Travel act as agents for various principals including airlines, tour companies, hotels, cruise companies and other travel service providers.  We cannot be held responsible for changes made by these operators to the services offered.
