TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • The tournament is under the management and control of Tee Off Australia Ltd (Manager)
  • All decisions in relation to the tournament are at the discretion of the Manager.
  • No late registrations will be accepted and failure to register at the Venue on the date stated in the Tournament Format will disqualify a player from playing in the tournament.
  • To be eligible to enter the tournament the player must comply with the following terms:
    • The player must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia and must be able to provide proof hereof on request by the Manager unless provision is otherwise made in the Tournament Format.
    • The player must be 18 years or over on the day of the tournament and must be able to provide proof thereof if required by the Manager.
    • The player must fall within the definition of an amateur golfer as provided by Golf Australia or any other body governing amateur golf in Australia or abroad.
    • The player must not have been classified as a Professional for a period of 5 years prior to the tournament or an active member of any Professional Golfers Association.

Entry

  • A player may enter the tournament by completing an entry form provided by the Manager and supply the Manager with the completed entry form together with payment of the appropriate fees listed in the Tournament Format.
  • The Manager reserves the right to deny any player entry to the tournament which decision will be in its sole and absolute discretion.
  • The publicity before, during and after the tournament in the press by live and recorded radio, television and print media will be arranged by the Manager and each player, by entering the tournament agrees to allow the right of use, exhibition and pre production thereafter of publicity material containing references to the player without compensation.
  • The number of competitors will be outlined in the Tournament Format
  • Entry forms are available from Tee Off Australia head office or www.teeoffaus.com.au.
  • Registered players who have paid the entry fee will be eligible to play in the tournament and attend any presentations and dinners/lunches if any hosted by the Manager. Meals will not include beverages.
  • The Manager reserves the right to amend the entry requirements or the prizes at its sole and absolute discretion and advise the players in any method the Manager see fit.
  • The Manager reserves the right to cancel the tournament should insufficient entries be secured in the sole and absolute discretion of the Manager in which event the Manager will refund all monies received from players without interest.
  • All players must adhere to the rules of golf and etiquette associated with the game of golf and also the conditions of use of the venue. A copy of these conditions is available at the Tournament venue.
  • Where the prizes include an invitation to play in an international tournament the player is responsible to procure a valid Passport at his/her own cost.
  • Unless otherwise specified all residuary cost in relation to the tournament and any international tournament to which the player receives an invitation, will be the players' responsibility.
  • The Manager requires all travel arrangements in relation to the tournament or any tournament to which the winner receives an invitation to be arranged by Golf Bank Travel Pty Ltd. Contact details (07) 5582 4172.
  • Prizes are non transferable and are not redeemable for cash.
  • The Manager accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries or other communications.
  • In the event that any prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the Manager's control the Manager may substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
  • The Managers will not be liable for any loss, damage or injuries suffered or sustained (even if caused by negligence) as a result of entering into the tournament, accepting and or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
  • The Manager reserves the right to request verification of age, identity, residential address, residential status and any other information relevant to entry or participation in the tournament. Verification is at the discretion of the Manager whose decision is final.
  • The Manager reserves the right to disqualify any player who is involved in interfering or tampering with the conduct of the tournament.
  • Winners agree to participate in any news media activities surrounding the promotions of this tournament or like tournaments hosted by the Manager by way of photographic shoots and interviews without compensation.
  • All responsibility associated with the prizes will transfer from the Manager to the prize winners upon the prize being handed to the relevant winner at the presentation ceremony.
  • Entry fee includes tournament fees, prizes, giveaways and any other related engagements as listed in the Tournament Format. All enquiries pertaining to the tournament are to be made directly to the Manager at the contact details and/or email address supplied with the entry form.
  • If weather conditions prevent players from completing the tournament, the tournament may be rescheduled at the discretion of the Manager.
  • If wet weather causes a temporary suspension of play on the tournament date players are not permitted to leave the premises and must stay within the Venues boundary to remain eligible for prizes in the tournament.
  • The winners are advised that by accepting the prize they may lose their amateur status. It is suggested that players obtain their own independent advice relating to their amateur status and the impact winning prizes in the tournament may have on that status.
  • Prize winners are responsible for collecting their prizes presented during the presentation ceremony. Uncollected prizes will be held for 30 days after the tournament and will be deemed surrendered to the Manager after this time if not collected.
  • All figures quoted and stated in the Terms and Conditions and any entry fees are on a per person basis in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST.

Cancellation

  • Players who have paid the entry fee may withdraw from the tournament by delivering to the Manager a notice of such withdrawal in writing by 10 days prior to the tournament in which event a 50% cancellation fee will apply. The remainder of the fees will be refunded to the player.
  • Failure to register for the tournament at the venue on the date will result in a 100% cancellation fee for the relevant player.
  • A welcome letter with instructions will be supplied to each player upon receipt and acceptance of the completed entry form and entry fee.
  • Players driving a golf cart must hold a current Australian or International Driver's License otherwise such a person must remain a passenger for the duration of the event and will not be allowed to drive the golf cart.
  • Any damage caused by a player to the venue, the Manager's property or the property of other players as well as property of third parties needs to be paid for by the player responsible for the damage.
  • The Manager reserves the right to refuse entry to the tournament, disqualify and/or remove player/s from the Venue or the Tournament without notice in the event of antisocial behavior, verbal abuse towards staff or abuse of the Responsible Service of Alcohol Act. The venue and the Manger will determine in its sole and absolute discretion what is and what is not antisocial behavior and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Venue and the Manager reserve the right to cancel or vary the event without notice or to amend any conditions, playing conditions, format, rules or terms of the tournaments before, during or after the event without notice.
  • The Manager and the Venue, Sponsors and other suppliers of goods and services to the tournament accepts no liability for death, injury, property loss or damage incurred during or arising out of any aspect of the conduct of the tournament.
  • The Manager will take no responsibility for any misdirected payments. If payment has been misdirected it is the player's responsibility to track down the lost payment and/or to provide proof of the transaction.
  • Golf activities can be dangerous and all players understand that they are exposed to certain risks during the tournament and related golf activities and that accidents can and do happen. Acceptance of entry releases the Manager and the Venue from all claims that entrants may have or may have had but for this release arising from or in connection with the participation, and indemnifies each other player and will keep indemnified the Manager and the venue in respect with any claim by any person arising as a result or in connection with the participation of any golf activities.
  • By signing and returning the entry form and paying the entry fee each player agrees and acknowledges that the player has read the Terms and Conditions of the tournament and agrees to abide by and be bound by them.
  • A notice, consent or communication under these Terms and Conditions is effective if it is given and received by post, fax or email by either the entrants/competitor or the Manager.
